It’s Episode 89 and for this episode, we are hosting Professor Richard Rosenfeld, who is speaking with us about his career as a criminologist, his work explaining U.S. crime trends, his advice for young scholars, and his thoughts on the field of criminology and criminal justice.
Richard Rosenfeld was the Curators’ Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is a Fellow and Past President of the American Society of Criminology. His research focused on crime trends and forecasting.
Rick passed away on Monday, January 8th at the age of 75. At the time of this recording, we (Jose and Jenn) were unaware of Rick’s condition and we are deeply honored that Rick said “yes” to being a guest on the podcast. We know Rick’s memory will live on for generations to come, and we hope this episode serves a double purpose of enlightenment and comfort.
