Episode 46. The Impressive Career of a Crime Prevention Scholar with Del Elliott

In this episode we speak with Professor Delbert Elliott about his career surrounding the prevention of crime and deviance.

Del is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Sociology, research professor in the Institute of Behavioral Science and founding director of the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence. He is also the founder of Blueprints for Healthy Youth Development. In addition, Del directed The National Youth Survey, which is one of the few national longitudinal studies of crime, substance use, and mental health problems. Del served as the President of the American Society of Criminology from 1992-1993. His research interests include adolescent problem behavior and the prevention of violence, crime, and juvenile delinquency.
